Carrot on the Run - Gourmet Food to Go from 24 Carrot Catering

Every Friday the Carrot is putting on an event.

1st friday of the month we will host a cooking lesson. come with friends or come alone, learn cook some delicious dishes and then sit down to a fun night enjoying them.

2nd friday of the month come for a fine tapas dinner. Linens and candle light, a five course meal in an intimate surroundings.

SPANISH TAPAS – March 5th
Come join us at Carrot on the Run for a fun night of spanish tapas.
In the kitchen we will to make some little bites with big tastes. Tapas originated in spain as a free piece of cheese, ham or toast that was put over ones glass of sherry to protect it from the flies and dust. Today this has become a dish with many concepts that is primarily ruled by the size of the dish.

You will go home with a full tummy, some great recipes and fun memories.

3rd friday of the month will be a theme night, Movie and dinner prehaps coolrunnings and jamacian food or Julie and Julia and Beef Bourguignon.

4th friday of the month is live music and dinner. Enjoy a delicious dinner while enjoying live music. stay tuned for the monthly events.

Alex Teare and Melissa Hamilton thank you for your continued support as Carrot on the Run heads into its 6th year! We have combined the fine cuisine that you know and love with the convenience of a deli that brings you the scrumptious and healthy food that only 24 Carrot knows how to provide.

NEW HOURS
So we can offer better service to our customers we are open on Sundays 11-5pm and we are open on week days til 7pm. We realized that many of our customers finish work at 6pm, we hope that our new hours will make it easier for you.

PICNIC BASKETS
Carrot On The Run’s picnic specials are perfect for bundling up and going out to any of our beautiful parks, the ferry or on your next flight to wherever! All picnics are bagged for travel and include paper plates, napkins and plastic cutlery. Fully equipped picnic baskets are also available for rent @ $12.00 (with a $50 deposit on your credit card). Ask for more details.

HORS D’OEUVRES
We have an abundance of tantalizing hors d’oeuvres, ranging from dips, spreads, condiments, nuts and pate. Plus frozen pickies that can be pick up by the dozen. Some examples of these are Phyllo pastries filled with brie, dried apricots and cranberries soaked in Madeira wine, empanadas filled with Roquefort, crème fraiche and toasted hazelnuts, middle eastern lamb kebabs and turkey and cranberry sausage rolls to name a few.

Our Coffee Club Card has been a huge success. Buy 9 coffees and get your tenth for free. Come in and sign up for one and try our Saltspring Island coffee. We offer organic, free trade, freshly roasted coffee, specialty coffees, Chai latte, medium roast, dark roast and decaf, organic teas and hot mochas.

TAKE OUT DINNERS
Check out these awesome frozen entrées that can be taken home and warmed for a party or your family. They are also great to buy for a person with a busy lifestyle; child in college, a sick friend; or your elderly Mom or Dad. We can accommodate special diets (ie: throat cancer - soup). Our menus are constantly changing. A sample of items include our beef stroganoff, cabbage rolls, tofu panage stew, Transylvania goulash, meatloaf, Italian snapper, Tortilla pie, vegetable lasagna, macaroni & cheese, vegetable ricotta cheesecake, Russian carrot pie with an almond crust, moussaka etc.

Simply call, fax, or email your request, let our team create a custom basket for you or personalize the contents by visiting our store. We can arrange for delivery at additional cost. Price does not include GST. 48 hours notice would be appreciated, but we will do our best to accommodate those last minute orders.

Carrot on the Run is open Monday to Friday from 7 am to 7 pm,
Saturdays - 10 am to 6 pm and Sundays - 11 am to 5 pm.
